Itinerary

After breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam and head to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), Africa’s largest game reserve, covering 55,000 square kilometers. Despite its vastness, Nyerere remains relatively untouched by tourists, offering an exclusive experience. On your journey, enjoy a packed lunch en route. Upon arrival, embark on a two- to three-hour evening boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you will spot hippos, crocodiles, and an array of bird species like the African fish eagle.

Start with an early morning game drive, exploring more remote areas of Nyerere. You might come across lions basking in the morning sun, or spot large herds of elephants, zebras, and gazelles. After a four-hour drive, return to the camp for a late breakfast. Spend the midday hours relaxing at the camp before a refreshing lunch. In the afternoon, venture out for another thrilling game drive, searching for leopards, cheetahs, and more of the park’s prolific wildlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
